A large city with a small-town feel, Dearborn is unique in its ability to build community across all corners of the city. Susan understands that mobility is the lifeblood of our city and is key to keeping us connected, so Susan is committed to making Dearborn a more walkable and bikeable city.
- As Mayor, Susan will reintroduce a bike-share program while working to both expand and connect bike lanes and trails throughout the city, to help increase the mobility of Dearborn residents and visitors across the city.
- Connectivity is necessary to ensure residents are able to get back and forth from their day-to-day pursuits. As Mayor, Susan will continue to monitor and follow the recommendations based on the Multi-Modal Transportation Plan that the City Council adopted in 2020 to increase the opportunity for walking and bicycling transit.
- As Mayor, Susan will build on public-private partnerships and continue to allow for easement use for what could make Michigan Avenue the first of its kind road, with dedicated lanes for autonomous vehicles and traffic lights that communicate with vehicles and each other.
